Alliance 2020 Insights Conference
The 2024 Insights Conference has concluded. This was a dynamic event for all levels of HR professionals, and provided attendees with valuable opportunities to network, learn more about background screening and compliance trends, as well as earn four SHRM-CP and HRCI credits.

Catharine is an experienced management and workforce trainer, sharing her legal knowledge and experience in an accessible, dynamic, and interactive manner.
Recruiting and Onboarding Pitfalls
Join employment law attorney Catharine Morisset for a review of the most recent traps and pitfalls related to recruiting and onboarding, such as job posting rules under the Equal Pay Opportunity Act, pre-hiring salary or wage scaling, preemployment drug screening and cannabis, and best interview practices. The presentation will help attendees develop a To Do list or spot issues for follow up and training with their organization.

Conflict Management Strategies
Carol Bowser founded Conflict Management Strategies Inc. in 2002 to help leaders and organizations become conflict competent—a role she is passionate about. She loves creating spaces for meaningful conversations and equipping people with the tools to navigate conflict. Carol trains personnel at all levels, using an interactive and facilitative style that clients find both engaging and knowledgeable. After practicing Employment Law, she transitioned to entrepreneurship to prevent costly workplace conflicts and promote the value of “Managing Conflict—Empowering People.” She understands the distinction between perceived unfairness and legal issues.
